Analisa Komunikasi Persuasif Pada Akun Instagram @Dinamisbiropsikologi Dalam Mengatasi Stigma Penyakit Mental

Mental illness stigma remains a major barrier in addressing mental health disorders, especially among Generation Z in Indonesia. Social media, particularly educational accounts like @dinamisbiropsikologi, plays a crucial role in disseminating accurate information and raising public awareness to reduce this stigma. A qualitative descriptive content analysis of the five highest-engagement posts on this account revealed various persuasive communication techniques used to attract attention and build emotional connections with the audience. The association technique, which links messages to cultural values and personal experiences, proved most effective with the highest engagement in the content titled “About Someone’s Character.” Other techniques such as integrity, red herring, reward, and focus also strengthened the messages and audience responses. This contextual and relevant persuasive approach has the potential to be an effective communication strategy for education and stigma reduction of mental health disorders among Generation Z through social media.
